How's my hair doing?

I just found out drinking coffee can cause a person to have low energy and feel sleepy. Iron is not going to be absorbed when drinking coffee. I guess that was why I was always sleepy while drinking it, but when I stopped drinking it for sometime I felt no drowsiness.

Minibraids Again and Again

Sorry for not posting that I went live for the takedown on TikTok. 

I decided to go back to mini-braids after a day of mini-twists. I have to say, mini-braids are kind of my thing now. I enjoy and I like that I can style them in different ways. You can style mini twists as well, but I was afraid my hair would mat up with mini twists. My mini braids don't seem to mat like mini-twists. I don't make my mini-braids and mini twists really small. I think they are a good size. 

The Olive Oil Pre-Poo / El Pre-Poo con Aceite de Oliva

It was wash day, and Amara stood in front of the mirror, admiring her beautiful crown of thick, natural curls.

Saturday morning was wash day, and Nia knew exactly what that meant. She gathered her favorite products, a wide-tooth comb, a soft towel, and a bottle of oil.

Before stepping into the shower, Nia began her favorite part of the routine: pre-pooing.

Pre-pooing meant applying an oil, conditioner, or moisturizing treatment to her hair before shampooing. There were three sisters named Amara, Nia, and Zuri. All three girls had beautiful Type 4 hair, but their curls did not behave in exactly the same way.

Amara had **high-porosity hair**. Her curls absorbed water very quickly. When she washed her hair, it became wet almost right away. But her hair also lost moisture quickly.
